Is the Board functioning at an effective level of governance and ethics necessary for contemporary organizations?

Purpose:  Enhance Board development and best practices for moving from fiduciary oversight, to a strategic asset, then to providing leadership.

Description: Board governance impacts organizational leadership and accountability at all levels. A framework for enhancing Board performance increases its value to the organization as well as ensures appropriate fiduciary and legal responsibility. By using key methods based on 20 years of research, underlying causal patterns are identified and transformed into a foundation for accountability and performance. Outcomes may include:

  1. Self-analysis of Board strengths and weaknesses
     
  2. Development of a performance framework to address weaknesses
     
  3. Ways to enhance the Board-CEO relationship
     
  4. Specific goals, actions, and processes for implementation
     
  5. Survey of Board state with respect to best practices
